Sales Tax
Georgia companies pay a State sales tax of 4% when they purchase operating goods that are not for resale, including natural gas, oil, gasoline, telephone service, artificial gas, steam, electricity and rentals. In addition to the 4% State sales tax, Columbia County charges an additional sales tax of 3%, making the total sales tax 7% for local consumers.
