Corporate Headquarters Tax Credit
The Corporate Headquarters Tax Credit (CHTC) is available in Columbia County for companies that (1) establish their corporate headquarters locally, (2) create 50 or more jobs, (3) invest at least $1,000,000, and (4) pay wages that are at least 115% of the County’s average wage. A local company meeting these requirements is eligible for a $2,500 CHTC per full-time job created. For newly created jobs that pay 200% of the County’s average wage, the company will receive a $5,000 CHTC. These tax credits apply for five years beginning with the year that the jobs are created, and the credits can be carried forward for 10 years.
