Georgia Quick Start
"In a poll of corporate location consultants, Georgia's workforce training program Quick Start was ranked #1 in the country."
Expansion Management Magazine, 2007
Many prominent local industries in Columbia County have taken advantage of Georgia Quick Start, including John Deere, Club Car, and Kennemetal. Augusta Tech, the region's administrator of the program, is building a new campus in Columbia County’s Horizon South Business Park that will make the Quick Start program even more accessible and convenient for local businesses. Since 1967, Quick Start has provided customized training for hundreds of thousands of employees and for thousands of businesses and industries through a network of 34 technical colleges, satellite campuses and university programs throughout the state. Quick Start gives employees the training they need to help Georgia's new and expanding businesses run more efficiently and profitably. Quick Start has been recognized by Fortune, Training and Expansion Management magazines for its effectiveness in providing the most comprehensive and advanced training in the nation.
Efficient, Flexible and Reliable
Quick Start is a flexible program that responds immediately to its clients’ needs by assigning company training projects to a Certified Economic Developer Trainer (CEDT) from Augusta Tech. The CEDT’s job is to address a client company’s specific needs through training supervision, program coordination and schedule maintenance.
When and Where Do You Want the Training?
If the company's facilities are available, the training will take place there. If not, Quick Start will provide the training space for the company. Quick Start will also set up a schedule that works best for its client company — day or evening, during the week or on the weekends.
Available Even after your Training Program is Complete
It is common for Quick Start CEDT’s to develop lasting relationships with their client companies—so that even after a specific curriculum is finished, companies still have a viable local training resource. Knowing that a friend is always available to your business is never a bad thing.
