The Development Authority of Columbia County, Georgia, works to advance commerce throughout the county, primarily by working with its existing industry base, which includes firms connected to regional economic drivers such as: 

the U. S. Army's Fort Gordon;   

the U. S. Department of Energy's Savannah River Site (SRS) and the Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL);

and the medical community anchored by the Georgia Health Sciences University (GHSU).
